French brand Lacoste and its creative director, Louise Trotter, was one of the last to present its Spring/Summer 2022 collection during Paris Fashion Week (PFW) at the famous Palais de Tokyo swimming pool, recreating a tennis court and illuminated by white nuclear lights.
Following her signature design approach and inspired by the sporty silhouettes that Louise sees from her bike on her commute to work, Trotter has created a total of almost 50 looks and has once again positioned the brand as one of the leaders in the streetwear sector, thanks in part to her creative vision and the great change she has brought about.
This collection perfectly reflects the public’s desire to go out and recover the much-loved “old normality”. Regarding the garments of the next Lacoste Spring/Summer, we have to highlight the tennis skirts, a great sign of identity of the brand, the neoprene “bandeaus” or the perforated anoraks. On the other hand, as a novelty, we can see how the designer introduces a new material, made of neoprene piqué, in some of her garments. And of course, we can’t overlook or finish this article without making a special mention of the roll-up mackintosh or the tennis jumpers with hand-embroidered V-neck in neon yellow.
