The irreverent queen of side quests, Lady Gaga, never ceases to amaze us. After her recent reinvention as Harley Quinn and the iconic Wednesday dances, the artist is now taking the unexpected plunge into the world of sports. On 5 March, ESPN unveiled the news that no one saw coming: the pop superstar is becoming the voice of Formula 1 with her new anthem, ‘Garden of Eden’.
The track, from her forthcoming album Mayhem, will be officially released on 7 March and marks Gaga’s return to music after a four-year hiatus. Mayhem will be her seventh studio album, a promise of sonic chaos, raw emotion and a production that is sure to get people talking.
Through a post on Instagram, ESPN made Gaga’s starring role in F1‘s 2025 season clear, posting: “Introducing the @espnf1 anthem for the 2025 season, ”Garden of Eden’ by the one and only @ladygaga’. And if that wasn’t enough, the sports outlet said there will be more unreleased music from Mayhem throughout the season, leaving fans on tenterhooks.
The first listen to the single is scheduled for 5 March, just before the Louis Vuitton Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, which takes place on Saturday 15 March. The race will be broadcast on ESPN beginning at 11:55 a.m. ET (or in the evening, depending on the time zone in the U.S.).
The premiere is just around the corner, so get ready to enjoy ‘Garden of Eden’ through the official trailer.
‘Abracadabra‘ is positioned as one of his most aggressive proposals.
