It’s official. Lady Gaga heads the list of nominees for the 2025 MTV VMAs thanks to MAYHEM, her latest album, which is in the running for Best Album. Her single Die With A Smile, featuring Bruno Mars, has also secured nominations for Video of the Year, Best Collaboration, Song of the Year, and Best Pop.
The MAYHEM project doesn’t stop there. The track Abracadabra dominates the technical categories with nominations for Best Direction, Best Editing, Best Choreography, Best Cinematography, and Best Visual Effects.
MTV VMAs awards ceremony coincides with a date on her Mayhem Ball Tour at Madison Square Garden in New York — a scheduling clash that has sparked a wave of memes on Twitter speculating about where the artist will be on the night.
Voting is now open on MTV’s official website, allowing fans to support their favourites, including Lady Gaga, up to 20 times per day.
