Lanvin rescues the Curb Sneaker through new models

Lanvin rescues the Curb Sneaker inspired by skateboarding and 90’s aesthetics and designs four new models combining more colors.

Lanvin rescues the Curb Sneaker inspired by skateboarding and the aesthetics of the 90s and designs four new models in which it combines different shades.

If anything characterizes this sneaker it is the XXL tongue and the wide and thick design of its silhouette. It is these touches that remind us of the 90s and skater culture. On the other hand, the printed laces are reminiscent of the fabrics used in kimonos.

In this process of rescuing the Curb Sneaker, Lanvin has decided to keep the white, black and pink colors to combine them with different shades implemented in the new designs. We find a navy blue model that contrasts with red laces, while the beige sneaker is accompanied by red, green, yellow and white.

“I want to create characters and dress them in their imaginary everyday life. For the winter 2020 collection, I imagined skateboarders as captured in Hugh Holland’s photos. These sneakers were, in my opinion, the most obvious and relevant pieces to properly represent and understand these characters.” says Bruno Sialelli, Lanvin‘s creative director.
