Levi’s® and Hailey present the new Levi’s® 501® 90’s, bringing back the relaxed style of that era, but with a fresh, modern twist. We show you how the model, a big fan of 90’s style, wears her updated 501® jeans.
The 501® 90’s jean offers a looser silhouette in the waist and leg than the traditional 501®, but without having a baggy effect. It can be adjusted at the waist, and you can still wear it lower or higher depending on the style you like. In the end it’s all about attitude, just like in the late nineties.
“It’s great to look back at the years when I was born and be inspired by that time,” says that time,” says Hailey, who was born in 1996. “I love the aesthetics of the photos, films and fashion back then. It’s just fascinating to me.” For Hailey, who was very young at the time, this jean represents the style that never goes out of style and has endured to this day.
What’s more, this new addition to the 501® jeans family comes in a variety of finishes and washes inspired by the vintage looks of the 1990s. Basically, it’s like having your favourite jeans from those years back, but with the fresh, modern twist of today.
“We were really inspired by the way some of the great style icons of the late nineties wore their 501® jeans, with a loose fit and a lot of attitude. After the latest stonewashed trend, it’s nice to see jeans with a vintage look again. The new 501® 90’s jean is not only comfortable in shape, but it reminds you of the jeans you wore years ago that you can now own again,” explains Jill Guenza, Vice President of Design for Women’s Apparel at Levi’s, Strauss & Co.
