Levi’s® Music Project students will present their creations at Club Malasaña

On 2 December, the students of the Levi’s® Music Project will present their creations at Club Malasaña with María Escarmiento and DJ Brava.

Levi’s® Music Project joins forces with the Garaje Association to continue supporting music education. To do so, they organised a Take Over Concert with María Escarmiento, DJ Brava and the students of Tardes de Garaje. Chico Blanco, for his part, participated in the last masterclass of the project with the students.

To celebrate the end of the course, Levi’s® and the Asociación Garaje have organised a great concert with the students of Tardes de Garaje on 2 December at Club Malasaña (San Vicente Ferrer, 23). The event will have as a special guest the Madrid artist Maria Escarmiento, who already participated in one of the last masterclasses with the students. In addition, DJ Brava will be in charge of closing the final party in which the students will present the tracks they have produced during the course.

Levi’s® Music Project brings together a diverse group of young talents belonging to the Madrid Asociación Garage to support the musical education of the next generations. The project, which is now coming to the end of this year’s edition, has allowed the students to learn first-hand how the music industry works through the classes at the studio centre and the masterclasses given at the Music Studio of Casa Levi’s® Preciados with renowned artists from the music scene.

During these months, the students have shared moments and experiences with various professionals and artists from the music industry. The Music Studio at Casa Levi’s® Preciados has hosted, among others, music producer Alizzz; artist manager Kigo; producer Oddliquor and artist Rigoberta Bandini.

MARIA ESCARMIENTO AND CHICO BLANCO

The last two masterclasses of the project were given by two young talents of the urban scene: Maria Escarmiento and Chico Blanco. In these two new sessions, the artists shared their professional experience, concerns and musical knowledge with the students.

María Villar aka Maria Escarmiento is an artist who defends the alternative sound that moves between trap, garage and reggaeton.

Pablo Cobo is Chico Blanco. Although he comes from the so-called urban scene, the artist is not a lover of labels and conventions, which is why he took a turn towards electronic and house music.

ASOCIACIÓN GARAJE

Garaje is an association that pursues social transformation through education in art. It is committed to music as one of the engines of change and social transformation. Levi’s® collaborates in Levi’s® Music Project with the students of Tardes de Garaje; a project that connects young people with professionals in pedagogy and art, promoting the synergies that arise to generate educational innovation, popular art and social awareness.

This is the third edition of the Levi’s® Music Project and the first to be held in Madrid. It is an international project that aims to facilitate access to music for generations of young people from all over the world. Ambassadors such as Rosalía in Spain, Alicia Keys in the United States and Skepta in the United Kingdom have participated in the project, highlighting the importance of continuing to support music as an agent of change.
