LOEWE Perfumes expands Home Scents collection with new ‘Wasabi’ fragrance

LOEWE Home Scents characterised by unique olfactory portraits of plants inspired by the most authentic essences of an orchard, adding further culinary complexity to the collection. This new fragrance expands the LOEWE Home Scents universe to go beyond pure nature and cultivation and into the complex, multi-sensory world of the culinary arts.

LOEWE Home Scents Wasabi is a very spicy fragrance, inspired by the Japanese condiment: a strongly flavoured paste that gives a distinctive spicy touch to a variety of dishes, especially and most traditionally to sushi. The fresh, uplifting fragrance unfolds to eventually reveal savoury notes of basmati rice and citronella, designed to create an energetic ambience wherever you go.

Wasabi is made from the ground roots of Eutrema japonicum, a herbaceous plant native to Japan, Korea and the Russian Far East. This shrub grows naturally along the margins of mountainous river valleys and is particularly difficult to cultivate outside these natural conditions.

This spice has been considered a culinary delicacy for over a thousand years, with the earliest record of wasabi dating back to the 8th century AD, due to both its rarity and exceptionally stimulating taste. Wasabi is available in all LOEWE Home Scents formats: scented candles in three sizes, candlesticks and spray air fresheners, and is characterised by its yellow hue.
