What is the LOOM festival?
The LOOM Festival is an interdisciplinary art festival that will take place on May 4 in Utopia126, includes interactive audiovisual installations, performances and musical performances. This edition takes as its starting point the exploration of synaesthesia, a perceptive phenomenon that leads the people who develop it to perceive senses in a hybrid way, and the meaning of human perception.
The date of one of the most eagerly awaited creativity festivals is coming up: LOOM Festival.
The festival seeks to create an enveloping art trail that transports the public to a world of interconnected and fused perceptions, crossing the borders between disciplines, acts and senses. Always understanding the spectator as an intrinsic part of the artistic pieces, which make sense through the interaction between both, and through which current socio-cultural themes are explored.
As part of the novelties for 2019, LOOM Festival presents its extended timetable through Loom by Day, an initiative integrated into the Poblenou Open Day program. Thus, the doors of the meeting will open for free from 12h to 15h and will offer a preview of the festival that will include being able to interact with all the facilities, attend talks scheduled by Loom Collective, a workshop on space design by ESDesign, listen to music presented by Alien Transmissions and Low Money by Gayoncé Rose, and live performances by Demmy Sober and Las Ninyas del Corro.
As far as the musical offer is concerned, club electronics takes centre stage in the live performances of E.T.M., whose new EP takes us back to the golden age of hardcore, together with the MBODJ set which aims to deconstruct that idea of musical monogamy that limits creativity so much.
Andrei Warren‘s visuals will star in much of the experience, as a futuristic tool to imagine the next new reality. Producers Halley and Aire will each bring their own versions of fusions of dark sounds, electronic elements and urban music. Barcelona singer Kyne will convey messages against certain pre-established roles and the dehumanization of society through her fusion of R&B and electronics.
In addition, the festival will break down barriers with collaborative acts between artists from very different backgrounds, such as the performance of dancer Candela Capitán with Insecthaus, an insect breeder with a very large community in social networks; or the performance that will fuse the music of Kai Landre (singer) and E.T.M (producer). Without forgetting the live of the revelation band Egosex or the presence of Brooke Candy among others.
Without a doubt LOOM Festival is one of the unmissable events in Barcelona and is just around the corner >>> In this link you can buy your ticket.
