Maison Kitsuné evades us to a summer camp to present an SS22 collection in which it subverts the brand’s codes by elevating outerwear.
Creative director Marcus Clayton imbues the “Maison Kitsuné Camp” line with “an elevated sense of ease” for those who embody a contemporary, transgenerational attitude.
In the collection’s romantic and timeless spirit, we can see how outerwear in XXL format coexists with the art of layering. The layering thus builds the visual narrative of all the pieces, both technical and tailored, in a palette of earth tones that connects directly with nature.
In this sense, a range of dresses, parkas, bomber jackets, sweatshirts and shirts are sheathed in the aesthetics of the urban explorer, accentuated by the Fox motif, characteristic of the Maison’s DNA.
Decoding the accessories, we see large chain necklaces and caps wrapped in silk scarves and poplin bandanas, injecting classicism with the avant-garde. At the same time, the mini dry bags -created in collaboration with Helinox– are printed with “Maison Kitsuné Camp” to identify the community of contemporary explorers.
