Maison Margiela’s new Icons collection is pure genderless

Maison Margiela y su director creativo, John Galliano, vuelven a la carga para presentar (en formato video) su última colección Icons.

After presenting its latest Spring/Summer 22 collection and taking us back to the coastal world in one fell swoop, Maison Margiela and its creative director, John Galliano, are back to present the latest instalment of its Icons collection.

Presented in video format and directed by film director Olivier Dahan, this latest autumn/winter collection is characterised by its focus on permanence and the elevation of classic menswear and womenswear, but also by the fact that it is mostly composed of basic and formal garments with a predominance of genderless styling.

On the other hand, as we can see in the presentation video, the Icons collection reflects a mix of the other lines of the maison, Artisanal and Co-Ed. Among the garments of this line, we have to highlight the trench coats, the relaxed silk suits, the reconstructed button-down shirts, the knitwear or the nylon outerwear, without forgetting the materials of all these, such as: wool, herringbone, cotton, silk or calvary twill.
