Maria Forqué | “PORN FOOD”

María Forqué (@imvirgenmaria) is back, and -again- with an updated concept of artistic provocation. PORN FOOD Dj set set is the 4th phase (already are 5) of the artist project, based on experimental dj sets that connect performance, hardcore, meditation and sex in the same sensory idea. He has gone further to introduce’edible porn’ in a sequence inspired by the Japanese wowmukbang (@wowmukbang) bead, in which she appears naked and static, eating sushi and with Latin music.

This is a new piece that explores the sexual and meditative nature of the eating process in an exhibitionist context, in which it evokes meditation and astral sex, without stereotypes or forbidden bodies.

Wowmukbang (@wowmukbang) was the account that inspired Forqué to base his piece on a food porn dj set. It focuses on videos of people eating large amounts of food, which haunted Maria after her return from Asia, where she presented her dj set ‘Hentai & Meditation’. The meaning he extracts from this compilation is: ‘hentai’, which in Japanese means perversion or metamorphosis, as sexual behaviour that is considered abnormal, and metamorphosis as the change from one form to another completely different. Thus, he uses the word ‘hentai’ because it shows sex outside an intimate space, which is synonymous with perversion.

The aim of these sessions is to transform the spectators during a process in which, with their eyes, they establish an astral-sexual relationship through the screen. During this connection, music generates sex in the form of brain orgasms, and a meditative act is produced by the fact of remaining silent and static for a period of time, which connects us with the God and the chakras that we carry within.

Food Porn mixes two genres of bipolar music that link us to our lower chakra (sex) and our upper chakra (God). ‘The mouth can be a vagina or an asshole, while the food is a dick or fingers. Sauces are like saliva, vaginal discharge or sperm. The sound the mouth makes when eating reminds you of the sound produced during sex. Food, in itself, produces orgasms of pleasure in our brain and body, just like sex’. In this way, we vibrate with orgasms of mental and physical pleasure through the music and food that comes and goes, as in sex.

Maria Forqué has thus elevated conceptual and experimental art to infinity with a Latin fusion of excitement, euphoria and trance in which she connects invisibly with viewers in the form of physical and spiritual sexual relationships. #mustfollow
