Match Break: elegant craftsmanship in the new Lacoste sneaker

For the SS21 season, Lacoste elevates the sporty style with retro touches that characterizes the collection with the Match Break. It’s a smooth canvas sneaker that integrates contemporary and vintage in equal parts in its design.

The brand‘s spring/summer 2021 collection remains true, as usual, to its sporty heritage. In this sense, the Match Break model lives up to its name: it continues the Lacoste aesthetic discourse (Match) and subtly breaks with these sporty codes (Break) through a design where elegance is paramount. This new sneaker is inspired by the brand’s running archives and vintage, but also hides modern technical features. It thus establishes a close link between elegance and French craftsmanship.

The Match Break is made of smooth canvas and its texture is emphasized by subtle patterns, such as the stitching seen in its legendary crocodile logo. On the other hand, its two-tone design in white and blue leather gives rise to a contrast of colors and materials that is present throughout the product. In addition, to guarantee comfort and personality, its narrow sole combines the cream color with the rubber itself, providing an athletic yet vintage look.

Starting in February, the Match Break will be available in 7 colorways at Lacoste’s physical and online stores and selected retailers.
