More than 30,000 garments from the Jean Paul Gaultier archive available for rental

Jean Paul Gaultier is making more than 30,000 pieces from his archive from the 80s and 90s available to the public. It does so through a new rental platform.

Rental platforms have grown exponentially over the last two years. Their success can be found in the opportunity to find unique garments at a more or less reasonable price. We have been seeing it with companies like Second Outing or MY WARDROBE HQ. And Jean Paul Gaultier has decided to jump on the bandwagon.

The news comes at the same time as the designer is focusing on the presentation of his new ready-to-wear collection.  In this way, he is making a large number of archive pieces available to the public. Among them, we find the iconic Schott jacket with punk aesthetics; the conical bra worn by Madonna in 1990 or the cage dress that we could see in Eurotrash.

Antoine Gagey, CEO of Jean Paul Gaultier said the aim is to “explore new ways of shopping and experiencing fashion by mixing on the same platform”. 

As for prices, these will range from €150 to €700, depending on the piece in question. The rental platform will be available from today and can be found by clicking here.
