Nanushka FW21: a surreal vision of modernity

Nanushka, the boho-chic label for the modern avatar, presents its collection for the fall-winter 2021 season.

The boho-chic label for the modern avatar has just presented a continuation of the pre-fall 2021 and spring-summer 2021 collections. Nanushka’s surreal vision for the fall-winter season is encompassed in a film titled “Forced Perspectives,” directed by creative director Sandra Sandor.

Nanushka once again displays on the catwalk modern styles in tune with the heritage of the cult brand. The digital presentation takes place in scenarios that transport us to the subconscious dreams of Dalí, thus returning to vibrate the latent escapism through another artistic vision of the pandemic reality.

‘Dalí’s installation in his Theater-Museum in Girona, based on Mae West’s Lips Sofa, was an initial point of inspiration: pieces of furniture skillfully placed to create the impression of a face when viewed from a specific point’, Sandor explains about the inspiration for this collection.

In the collection, we can find a trompe l’oeil of textiles and optical illusions influenced by the artist. Nanushka’s form and function are once again one in this episode, between abstract prints or houndstooth prints that accentuate the knitwear for men.

Elegance arrives with carefully draped satin dresses and reconstructed outerwear designs that elevate the functional aspect of the season. Fringe details on loose silhouettes, seventies shirts, or updated tailored suits make up the hypnotic showcase of this surreal vision for FW21.
