Participants in this initiative include Acne Studios‘ CEO Mattias Magnusson, Thom Browne‘s CEO Rodrigo Bazan and designer Marine Serre. As well as retailers such as Selfridges, Nordstrom, Lane Crawford and Mytheresa.

The current environment although challenging, presents an opportunity that will simplify our businesses, making them more environmentally and socially sustainable.

After much deliberation, they have proposed setting the autumn/winter season from August to January. And adjust the spring/summer collection from February to July 2021. This will delay mid-season sales to allow more full price sales.

They are also working on a readjustment of the supply chain and online sales. This leads them to create fewer unnecessary products to reduce fabric waste and inventory.

In addition, the set has already started adapting its fashion shows via the Internet. As well as the use of digital showrooms for interpersonal relationships.

They expect all of these initiatives to enable the fashion industry to be more responsible to customers and the planet. This crisis will certainly change the course of the retail.
