NO/FAITH STUDIOS is a brand that since 2017 has been building its niche in the industry with silent but firm steps. Today, it has become one of the new generation brands to keep on the radar, and with the launch of its new collection “RAUM 233” we understand why we should be very attentive to what Luis Dobbelgarten has to offer.
Composed of 35 looks, the collection is named after the NO/FAITH STUDIOS in the town of Mechernich, Germany. Most of the looks in ‘RAUM 233’ can be considered for women, but the designer stresses that it is unisex. Made from leather, denim and faux fur, the pieces showcase the brand’s DNA: the anti-fashion aesthetic of the 2000s, which is the reference point for Dobbelgarten’s work.
The trend of deconstructed denim, which is also very present in Glenn Martens’ work,
appears throughout the collection. The dresses showcase the precision of wrap-around tailoring cuts that reveal the silhouette and contrast with the volume of denim or worn leather pants. Pockets continue to play a starring role in Dobbelgarten’s work, which is also repeated in the iconic multi-pocket bag, available in various types of leather.
At its core, the collection showcases the brand’s esoteric energy through its handmade pieces. Eccentric shapes dictated by metallic details, belts, zippers and innovative tailoring cuts define a collection inspired by early eighties fashion. ‘RAUM 233’ is a unique blend of “sexy” and “stupid”, according to designer Luis Dobbelgarten.
The project will be launched over the next few months in small releases. To keep up with their news, you can head to the brand’s instagram.
