No limit for Balmain SS23 by Olivier Rousteing

During Paris Fashion Week, Olivier Rousteing’s brand presented the Balmain Festival V03 B event, full of fashion, music and food.

The one-of-a-kind Balmain Festival is an annual celebration that combines the best of food, music and fashion. Each year, the festival expands in size and scope. It started as a concert and catwalk for 1,500 people in 2019 and now, in 2022, it has grown into a special fashion week for 10,000 friends of the house. Of course, Olivier showed his latest creations, but Balmain Festival was much more than just clothes.

On 28 September, the perimeter of the iconic Stade Jean Bouin in Paris was transformed into the ephemeral Balmain Festival, filled with stalls offering limited edition Balmain products, as well as food trucks filled with special snacks. A space and a moment for Olivier Rousteing to explore his ultimate versatility and talent, pushing the boundaries of what a fashion presentation can and should be.

Proceeds from every purchase at the Balmain Festival will go directly to (RED) and the Global Fund’s efforts to fight pandemics. In addition, this season, the brand is increasingly focusing on sustainability. For Spring/Summer 2023, Olivier made garments from yarns derived from recycled evian bottles. Haute couture remained at the heart of the SS23 collection, however.
