Despite the decision taken last week, OnlyFans will not ban sexually explicit content on the platform.
OnlyFans has decided to reverse its decision to ban “any content containing sexually explicit conduct” from 1 October. Tim Stokely, the platform’s founder, had taken this decision on Wednesday after claiming that banks had continued to impede the company’s growth and jeopardise the reputation of the business.
However, a week later, OnlyFans announced via Twitter that this change will not go ahead. “Thank you all for making our voices heard. We have secured the necessary assurances to support our diverse community of creators and have suspended the policy change scheduled for 1 October. OnlyFans stands for inclusivity and we will continue to provide a home for all creators.”
