Our favorite designers of the next edition of The great catwalk of Spanish fashion is about to land at IFEMA and in different stages of the city. Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid will present some of the best spring-summer 2022 proposals from both established designers and emerging talents under the EGO umbrella.
This new edition of MBFWM, which will run from September 16 to 19, will consist of a hybrid format created by a constellation of 37 designers who will present their SS21 collections. Although of all of them, we have made a selection of our 3 favorites.
ABRA
On the third day of the OFF program, designer Abraham Ortuño, known for developing an archive of genderless contemporary pieces suspended between design, geometry, and art, will unveil his spring-summer 2022 collection. The eponymous brand of creative director Ernesto Naranjo founded in 2014, after graduating from Saint Martins, and working for firms of the caliber of Maison Margiela’s Galliano or Balmain, and winning the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Talent will once again attract all eyes with its haute couture designs adapted to the streetwear era. This time, through an online video immersion on Saturday 18 at 17.30h.
404 STUDIO
The experimental house 404 Studio, whose approach to fashion is based on the reinvention of tradition through a contemporary and exclusive vision, already presented (before doing so in Madrid) in Paris, at the David Lynch cultural center. Now, she continues to weave her textile story through those hypnotic crochet pieces with cut-outs that have dressed personalities like Dua Lipa. We’re just looking forward to Sunday the 19th at 5 pm to see his own vision of the SS21 season materialize.
