Alexander McQueen has just revealed his SS21 menswear collection. The result is a series of haute couture garments made in the style of the British house: suggestive and provocative.
Alexander McQueen’s team reveals his new SS21 menswear collection. In line with their collection of women’s clothing, the garments have been made with lout of stock fabric from previous seasons. Thus, they have used overprinting and dyeing techniques to evoke more suggestive iterations.
Once again, the suit is the great protagonist. This time they have opted for jackets and have accentuated the waist part by raising and renewing the male aesthetic. As in the Pre-spring collection, the bows and the péplum flyer appear repeatedly superimposed on the pieces. The idea is to give the whole collection a greater sensuality. Thus, they have introduced nylon coats with jeweled embroidered brooch applications, cut cricket sweaters and dyed fabrics by immersion.
The images in the lookbook have been photographed on the beach. An ideal setting that perfectly reflects this juxtaposition of classic but insinuating ideas.
