Raf Simons and Marine Serre star in new MoMu art project

The MoMu Museum recruits a number of iconic designers such as Marine Serre for its upcoming Fashion/Conscious project.

On the occasion of its forthcoming reopening, the MoMu museum is recruiting a series of designers based in the zeitgeist to create its new artistic and/or advertising project. Marine Serre, Raf Simons and Glenn Martens are just a few of them.

Antwerp’s fashion paradise will reopen its doors on 4 September after a two-year hiatus, closed due to the pandemic. To celebrate the long-awaited return, it has enlisted some of fashion’s favorite personalities to create billboards that will be installed throughout the city over the next month.

The project, entitled Fashion/Conscious, was creatively directed by Isabella Burley and photographed by Hanna Moon. In it, iconic designers Raf Simons, Marine Serre, Supriya Lele, Glenn Martens, and Walter Van Beirendonck pay homage to their muses.

The opening of the museum will coincide (and synchronize) with the exhibition E/MOTION, which explores how we use fashion to channel emotions, and the role designers play in this.
