Located on the East Fork Bridge in the San Gabriel Mountains, Reese Cooper SS22 presented its Spring/Summer 2022 collection entitled “Fresh Air”, which stays true to the brand’s rhythm of presenting clothing that incorporates outdoor elements.
Cooper’s commitment to regularly fusing the outdoors into its collections and shows is part of a five-year partnership with the USDA Forest Service. Presented on a bridge tucked away in the mountains, the SS22 show was the brand’s largest collection to date.
In line with the outdoor aesthetic, the collection featured a variety of outerwear including bomber and workwear jackets for men, mountaineer-style jumpers and baggy trousers. While the tones revolved around beige, green and brown, which complemented the landscape, they also used blue and red.
This season, Reese Cooper SS22 worked with Levi’s sustainability team, reconstructing new denim pieces. But the hallmark of the show was the asymmetrical silk and organza layered dress in collaboration with artist Juliet Johnstone, known for her hand-painted clothing design work.
