The rise of the futuristic runner

There are tendencies that arrive suddenly are lived intensely and disappear, and there are others that arrive slowly and stay for a long time. This is the basic difference between hype and trend. Today we are going to talk about one of these last ones that has been beating softly for a long time and we believe that 2018 will be its year of consolidation.

The boom of the retro-runner shoes with platform is already a reality (Balenciaga Triple S, Hi-Tec Silver Shadow, Eytys Angel, Our Legacy Runner, etc.), however, the rise of runner sneakers with futuristic aesthetics has been beating for a long time but has not yet exploded. In countries such as Japan, this trend is already a reality and the gabber culture of some European countries has already adopted it.

Specialized running brands such as Asics, Mizuno or Hoka, which we have already talked about, are about to experience a great moment. Models that a priori include futuristic elements aimed at improving performance have attracted the attention of all fashionistas and have become a must for many of them.

The last one to bet on this type of footwear was the designer Kiko Kostadinov (@kikokostadinov) who, from our point of view, has gave the final push for this trend to begin to occupy the streets of our continent.
