September is getting closer and closer, and with it, the Fashion Weeks. That frenetic pace and the back-and-forth of collections that we look forward to all year round.
In the case of Milan Fashion Week, the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana is responsible for coordinating, protecting and strengthening the image of Italian industry within the sector, not only within its borders but also internationally. This year, they have decided to bring forward the provisional calendar, thus celebrating the Women’s Fashion Week from Tuesday 20th to Monday 26th September. Seven days full of fashion shows and presentations full of surprises.
Among the confirmations announced, Rossy de Palma has been chosen as master of ceremonies for the ‘Suistainable Fashion Awards’ gala. The eagerly awaited event will be held on Sunday 25 September at the Scala Theatre in Milan and 12 awards will be presented in recognition of outstanding companies and figures in the field of sustainability.
“We are delighted to announce Rossy de Palma as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards. She is an iconic artist and multi-faceted figure from the worlds of film, fashion, modelling and performance art, whose commitment to philanthropic issues has been part of her life for many years. Her dedication to sustainability, human rights and environmental justice will contribute, along with other creatives, to reshaping the fashion industry,” says the Camera Nazionale.
It is also worth mentioning the debut of the new Missoni, Etro, Ferragamo and Bally creatives, who will unveil their new and first proposals on the catwalk. Not forgetting the eagerly awaited shows by Gucci, Versace, Bottega Veneta, Dolce&Gabbana and Jil Sander.
