Sacai has already presented its collection for the upcoming FW21 season. Chitose Abe, the brand’s creative director, has once again opted for her usual hybrid aesthetic when it comes to defining this new proposal for the women’s closet.
A couple of months ago, Sacai unveiled its Pre-Fall 2021 collection in collaboration with KAWS, a minimal and genderless capsule with A.P.C, and of course, the fruits of its latest work with Nike. Now, the Japanese brand is back to present its FW21 collection, characterized by new proportions and silhouettes that are defined through Chitose Abe’s particular hybrid aesthetic.
On this occasion, the creative director offers a very personal vision of what fashion could look like in a post-pandemic scenario. The new proposal takes as a source of inspiration the capital of Japan, as Tokyo has been the place of residence of Chitose Abe during the last year. The result, are garments that are dyed in shades ranging from red to beige through electric blue and white or black. Among them, the pieces with large sleeves, the skirts with flowing silhouettes and the “shrunken” shape that contours the shoulders stand out. And of course, the outerwear in sheepskin.
