VENICE! Yes, what you read. The French brand Saint Laurent, this time seems to have changed its location and will disembark in the city of canals. Surprising, isn’t it? It seems that everything is starting to get back to normal in the world of fashion and with it the return to physical and live fashion shows and presentations.
This will be the first post-pandemic men’s show for Saint Laurent and its creative director, Anthony Vaccarello, in which on July 14th, one day before Valentino also presents his Haute Couture collection in Venice, we will be able to see his next proposal for Spring 2022. For the moment, few details are known, except for the chosen location. This eagerly awaited fashion show will be held in a specific large-scale installation by artist Doug Aitken, which has been commissioned by Vaccarello himself. As a novelty, this installation will be accessible to the public from the day after the fashion show until 30 July.
Venice looks set to become one of the “place to be” on the fashion scene, thanks in part to the Saint Laurent and Valentino shows, which will coincide with the city’s Biennale of Architecture, which runs until 21 November.
This will be his first show since presenting his Fall 2020 collection in Paris. Now we just have to wait and see what Vaccarello’s Saint Laurent surprises us with this time.
