In this new collaboration, the New York artist combines traditional Fendi design with unexpected and fun twists. The limited edition Peekaboo I See U bags by Sarah Coleman x Fendi stands out for recreating the classic model in some vibrant colors.
This collab will see the light at the end of this month, on the occasion of the annual design exhibition in Miami. The global event Design Miami attracts thousands of design enthusiasts from around the world, where they gather to admire the latest innovations in home design.
This limited edition combines Coleman’s aesthetics with Silvia Venturini Fendi’s design. All designs are inspired by Miami’s vibrant art scene. The most special bag in the series features phosphorescent FFs and glow-in-the-dark embroidery.
In addition to working on the bag series, Sarah Coleman and Silvia Venturini have completely renovated the Fendi store in Miami. The artist recycled Fendi bags fabrics to recreate the furniture with vibrant prints. She also restored a chair with images of Fendi’s archive printed on vintage magazine paper. All of this was done with the approval of Venturini.
Sarah Coleman’s (@sarahcoleman) vision and determination to bring luxury signatures to everyday objects has put the New Yorker at the top of the creative design ladder. Thus, at the exact point where art and fashion converge, the artist and designer impregnates everyday items of the precious monograms of luxury brands. For example, she has worked with Louis Vuitton, Chanel and Fendi on other occasions.
The Sarah Coleman x Fendi bags will be launched exclusively at the Fendi Miami Design District Boutique starting Monday, November 23.
In addition, the collaborative concept will be on display at Design Miami from November 27 to December 6.
