Digital censorship has limited many artists, but for Slimesunday, censorship has only meant extra effort to create more inventive compositions. From landscapes leading to a vulva, to boobs fused with ice cream, the art of this digital designer knows no bounds.

Slimesunday is a digital art designer who has been creating visual stories with a very personal style for a few years now. Thanks to the blurring and disfiguring of faces, he shows an alternative reality that has conquered more than 500,000 Instagram users. He has even positioned himself as the eighth highest earning artist in the metaverse.
Slimesunday, or Mike Parisella – as he is really called – chose his name thanks to an interview with one of his idols, the singer Eminem. His latest designs can be defined as clean, colourful, solid and suggestive, showing the human anatomy with a singular and attractive point of view. The Boston artist also stands out for his moving montages.

Through collages that highlight female sexuality, he has managed to bypass the algorithm that censors the human body and thus differentiate himself from the rest. Erotic art is a source of inspiration for him and some of his favourite projects are those of John William Godward, William Adolphe Bouguereau and Jean-Léon Gérôme. He also draws inspiration from the magazines of the 70s and 80s.
Although censorship has become a recurring theme in Parisella’s career, the artist has found the positive side: his community. Now, with the SLIMESHOP project in collaboration with NFT giant Opensea, you can channel your inner Slimesunday and build your own collage with layers made by none other than Parisella himself. Do you dare?
