Get ready to dance from 16 to 18 June next year Sónar Barcelona 2022 has announced 27 new artists to the line-up of its next edition.

A selection of artists, each representing a style in the club and electronica industry. Among the best-known names in the new group of artists are Eric Prydz with his high-tech audio-visual sets; Nathy Peluso with her contemporary Latin pop; and Kiddy Smile, one of the leading lights of the French dance scene.

The line-up also includes a number of artists from the house and techno world. These include Brazil’s ANNA, DJ Folamour, Reinier Zonneveld, Avalon Emerson and Helena Hauff. For those who love a livelier night out, the Berlin collective Herrensauna will organise an underground hard-techno party with a 6-hour set by resident DJs CEM, MCMLXXXV, Salome and Cadency.

But the line-up doesn’t stop there: this year’s selection also includes the musical experiments of New York-based GHE20G0TH1K party founder Venus X. Bristol artist Batu; the melting pot of R&B and grime by Manara and, above all, Scotch Rolex: the new collaborative project by Nyege Nyege Tapes and DJ Scotch Egg. Also Kenyan grindcore singer Lord Spikeheart and Ugandan MC Yallah.

While two appearances participants have become accustomed to in recent years, Tiga y Hudson Mohawke, will present their new project Love Minus Zero while British producers Midland and Shanti Celeste will join in. Alongside them, there are other musical genres such as garage with Conducta, drum ‘n’ bass with Critical Soundsystem, complex polyrhythms with Nihiloxica, and 70s African disco with the band Nu-Genea.
