Specialisation and functionality in the new Birkenstock and ADER error

Birkenstock, the iconic German footwear brand, and South Korean fashion brand ADER error present their new collaboration.

Birkenstock, the iconic German footwear brand with a family tradition of almost 250 years, and South Korean fashion brand ADER error present their new collaboration.

 

ADER error brings its creative vision to four timeless Birkenstock footwear models. This selection of limited-edition unisex silhouettes is designed to be worn every day, every time, by anyone who appreciates quality, comfort and technical detail. The collection is made in Germany with the brand’s unique anatomical footbed.

The inspiration comes from snow sports, more specifically from the technical characteristics of ski boots. The serrated buckle found on Birkenstock‘s Gizeh, Arizona and Milano models stems from ADER error‘s slogan “But Near Missed Things”, which reflects the South Korean brand’s interest in surprising and unique details.

The fourth model, the hard-wearing A630 PU clog from Birkenstock, stays true to its original design and complements the other three. All of them feature a silicone pin with the branding of both brands and the characteristic ADER error logo. The campaign, under the name “TOO PASSIONATE TO STOP”, shows the passion and humanistic spirit in both the physical and psychological sense that a good performance can bring.

Based on self-expression, creativity and, most importantly, cultural communication, ADER error was founded in 2014 by a diverse team from different backgrounds. Beyond fashion, the brand works to influence the way we see the world around us. Their signature shade of blue is present throughout the collaboration and represents a passion for youth.

Birkenstock x ADER error is available from today, 19 May, in ADER error stores in Korea. In all other countries it will go on sale from 21 May.
