Taylor Swift may be used to receiving awards and accolades, but as of yesterday she can boast a Doctor of Fine Arts degree.
A recognition that adds to the great career of the country singer. New York University wanted to pay tribute to Taylor Swift‘s impeccable musical career. Thus, Yankee Stadium became the ideal setting for the first on-site ceremony following the coronavirus crisis.
“The last time I was in a stadium this size I was dancing in heels and wearing sparkly tights. This outfit is so much more comfortable,” Swift joked before beginning her joke-laden, reference-laden, cliché-laden speech. “I’m 90% sure the main reason I’m here is because I have a song called ’22’. And let me just say that I’m elated to be here with all of you today as we celebrate and graduate NYU’s class of 2022.”
