The future of sneakers is the adidas Y-3 IOGO

The new adidas Y-3 release exemplifies the future of footwear, dubbed Y-3 IOGO.

These adidas contain only five components that are numbered on the shoe itself: the knit upper, elastic straps, BOOST midsole, rubber outsole and thread. This model does not use glue; instead, the Primeknit upper is stitched to the tooling and held in place by the two straps.

Another feature of this latest Yohji Yamamoto creation is that the midsole can be changed, including a plush BOOST for comfort, plus a nimble Lightstrike iteration.

The shoe can even be completely disassembled in the event that the threads that make up the shoe are cut. Features Yamamoto branding on the straps and Yamamoto’s signature on the tongue and rubber outsole.
