Allianz continues its commitment to the future and young talent of Spanish fashion at MBFWMadrid. Together with the sponsorship of Allianz EGO, the most relevant national of emerging designers, the company launches the third edition of the Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion award.
In this third edition, the event will feature the participation of 15 emerging brands that represent the future of fashion in Spain. The participants in this edition of Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion are: Anamingo Twins, Diez Madrizzz, Emeerree, Guillermo Décimo, H05, Inés Aldrey, Joaquín Dogo, Juan VG, Lamner, Magno Montero, Puzzle Brand, Reparto, Tania Marcial, The Artelier and Velasquez.
Among the aspirants, we find proposals that sketch the sustainability models of tomorrow. Thus, techniques such as upcycling and the reuse of fabrics stand out, to give a second life to garments, and with a special focus on craftsmanship, local and proximity trade and made-to-order production to avoid surpluses. In addition, diversity is also a protagonist, with plural voices that are committed to the design of genderless garments or that reflect the personal experiences of the designers through their creations.
With this recognition, Allianz seeks to promote the creative and business development of one of the fifteen designers participating in the Allianz EGO Showroom and to accompany them in the first steps of their promising career. The prize has a financial endowment of €6,000, with which the winner will be able to make a new collection a reality, which they will present at the next edition of the Allianz EGO catwalk. In addition, they will receive professional advice for six months to promote their brand from ESNE.
The winner will be selected by a professional jury, who will get to know the participants and their creations first-hand by visiting the Allianz EGO Showroom, where the designers will have their collections on sale during the course of MBFWMadrid. In addition, the candidates will make a presentation of their brand and proposals to Cósima Ramírez, head of International Relations at Agatha Ruíz de la Prada; Teresa Medina, head of press at MBFW Madrid; Andrés Aberasturi, curator of Allianz EGO; and Maruca García Paredes, director of the Fashion Department at the ESNE University School.
“Diversity, sustainability and care for our oceans and seas will be the pillars on which this edition of the Allianz EGO Confidence in Fashion Award will revolve, and these will be reflected in the creations of the 15 designers participating in the event. In this sense, from Allianz, we want to support emerging talent and serve as a loudspeaker for all the proposals of these young designers, helping them to enhance their creative and business development,” says Francisco García Vegas, General Manager and head of the Commercial and Market Management Area of Allianz Seguros.
Allianz x MBFWMadrid stems from the company’s commitment to accompany these young creators in the early stages of their careers and is part of its positioning ‘The future in common’. This project aims to promote values such as diversity and inclusion, helping to ensure that the future of fashion is open and plural. Allianz is also committed to sustainability in this edition of MBFWMadrid, with spaces and activations that seek to raise awareness of the importance of caring for the seas and oceans, as a source of life on which our health and that of the planet depends.
