The event, created in 1989, recognizes the talent of designers, models, brands and fashion companies, while fulfilling a charitable cause.
The British Fashion Council Foundation is the main beneficiary of the gala, with a mission to support the growth and future success of the British fashion industry through education programs, grants and business mentoring.
In this recent edition, Jonathan Anderson won the important International Designer of the Year Award for his work at LOEWE and JW Anderson, while Paloma Elsesser received the Model of the Year Award. Other relevant awards include the Outstanding Achievement Award to Valentino Garavani for his impact on the industry through Valentino, and the Special Recognition Award for the talented Charlotte Tilbury.
Elsewhere, the eagerly awaited red carpet has seen the arrival of celebrities from all corners of the globe, and London has shone with a display of looks that reflect the diversity and creativity that define the international fashion scene. From the iconic Anne Hathaway, wearing an elegant pleated Valentino gown with a Bulgari diamond choker, to Neelam Gill, in a stunning Alaïa FW3 high neck and long sleeve design, we’ve selected our favorite looks from among the gala’s guests. Olivia Culpo, Adut Akech, Rita Ora, Sara Sampaio, Mona Togaard, Cindy Kimberly, Kate Moss, Mahalia, Winnie Harlow and many more shined during the celebration. And, speaking of fashion… Rick Owens x Moncler FW23 comes out of a dystopian future.
