Anthony Vaccarello, current creative director of the French brand Saint Laurent, in addition to loving fashion and being one of his clear passions, also loves and is very curious about the world of art. That’s why we’ve been able to appreciate the latter to perfection in the latest capsule collection he has designed in collaboration with and as a tribute to the legacy of the artist Jean Michel Basquiat, or popularly known as Basquiat.
Saint Laurent’s latest line with Basquiat, Rive Droite, collaborates with the artist’s legacy and Galerie Enrico Navarra to create a range of products indebted to Basquiat and a complementary in-house exhibition. This exhibition, to be presented in the Rive Droite boutiques in Paris and Los Angeles, will feature a silkscreen print, the 18 original lithographs, several drawings, ceramic plates that belonged to Andy Warhol, a spoon and a denim jacket from one of the first auctions of sida in history”, and will be hosted exclusively by the luxury brand.
But this alliance between Saint Laurent and Basquiat is not only made up of artistic pieces; Anthony Vaccarello has also designed a capsule collection inspired by the work of the American artist, in which we can find everything from tote bags, tops and fanny packs to books, phone cases and underwear with a vintage aesthetic.
Take a look at the gallery and if you like anything from the Saint Laurent x Basquiat x Galerie Enrico Navarra collection, you can buy any of the pieces in their boutiques or on the brand’s website.
