Thom Browne‘s fashion show, as in every edition of fashion week, is one of the most eagerly awaited, but on this occasion with even more reason, since after presenting his collections for several seasons in Paris and after announcing his return to his country of origin, although only for a season, the expectation of being able to enjoy this great creator once again at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) was at its peak.
The Spring/Summer 22 collection was presented at the Griffin Theatre at The Shed at Hudson Yards to a front row full of famous faces, including singer Rosalía and actor Evan Mock. All of them were able to enjoy a collection composed of 65 looks in which T.B. reinvented American uniforms and classic tailoring.
Following the clear line of design that so characterises the designer, Browne once again opted for grey tones in modular seersucker, pinstripe and houndstooth constructions to carry out his collection, except in some looks, which were done in vibrant colours such as fuchsia, red, orange or seawater. On the other hand, among the garments in the collection, we have to highlight the single-breasted jackets and sack suits combined with light mohair and wool miniskirts or the sleeveless A-line dresses with trompe l’oeil draping.
