The album “Swimming” was released in August 2018, being the last album Mac Miller would release in his lifetime. It debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and earned the artist a posthumous GRAMMY nomination in the Best Rap Album category.
The sneakers are made with black canvas uppers, and the toe features the iconic Yin-Yang motif, linked to Mac Miller’s “Swimming” and “Circles” series of albums, surrounded by the phrase “Swimming by Mac Miller”. They include additional details such as the “Mac Miller 1992 Til ∞” print around the white vulcanized midsole, and the more traditional Vans branding is found on the red heel patch and toe liner label. The sneaker is completed with Vans’ iconic waffle sole and white laces, and comes in a special pink-purple gradient box.
A portion of the proceeds from sales of these sneakers will go to the Mac Miller Fund, an organization that provides resources to young musicians to help them realize their full potential through exploration, expression and community.
The Mac Miller x Vans Authentic “Swimming” will go on sale on August 3rd through Mac Miller’s official website.
On the other hand, the Balenciaga Speed Trainer has been fused with a 3XL sole unit.
