Last night one of the capitals of fashion, Milan, experienced one of the most glorious moments in history, thanks in part to two of the country’s most prestigious and emblematic brands, Versace and Fendi. As we reported on Friday, rumours of a possible collaboration between these two Italian fashion giants finally came to light at the end of Milan Fashion Week (MFW).
Held in front of a small number of guests, including singer Dua Lipa, actresses Demi Moore, Elizabeth Hurley and Ester Expósito, and at the property that Donatella Versace herself owns at 12 Via Gesú, Milan once again experienced a show worthy of belonging to the era of its founder, Gianni Versace. None of the top models of the moment, such as Gigi Hadid, Vittoria Ceretti, Adut Aketch, Imaan Hammam or Mona Tougaard were absent, but neither were some of the top models of the 90s, such as Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Amber Valleta, Karen Elson or Kristen McMenamy, who was in charge of opening this eagerly awaited show.
All of them were in charge of showing off and elevating the creations of Donatella Versace and Kim Jones, who swapped roles and designed a total of 25 looks each, characterised by their black and gold colours, but also by perfectly representing the hallmarks of both brands, such as the double “F” logo, designed by Karl Lagerfeld in the past, or the mythical Versace print.
What do you think of this Versace and Fendi collection? Do you give “approved” to “Fendace”?
