Vivienne Westwood x ASICS GEL-Kayano 26: Britain’s sportiest punk

Vivienne Westwood and ASICS are teaming up once again to create a new version of the GEL-Kayano 26. The all-black silhouette is covered with a mesh that perfectly combines the sporting essence of ASICS with Westwood’s British punk.

After partnering with ASICS to create art-inspired shoes, Vivienne Westwood returns with another eye-catching collaboration with the Japanese sports brand. This time, Westwood lowers the tone in terms of color, opting for black while adding what appears to be an adjustable net to the upper.

Dressed mostly in black – except for a silver gradient on the forefoot – its structure combines the lightness of FlyteFoam with the brand’s signature GEL padding. Black rubber soles complete the look. In addition, a second colorway is scheduled to be launched on the same day as well, but more details are still unknown.

The Vivienne Westwood x ASICS GEL-Kayano 26 shoe will be launched next September 28th, and has an approximate price of 210 euros.
