The singer is expecting her third child, the first with her current partner Sam Asghari. After her release, the artist has revealed to her 40.4 million Instagram followers that she is pregnant.
The news comes exactly five months after Sam Asghari joked that she might be pregnant. “I took a pregnancy test…and uhhhhhhh good….. I’m having a baby,” the singer wrote in a post on her profile accompanied by a picture of coffee and flowers.
This will be the third child for Britney, who had two with ex-husband Kevin Federline. She has now been with Sam Asghari, a model and personal trainer 12 years her junior, for five years. In September, the couple announced their engagement with a video on their favourite social networking site.
“Marriage and children are a natural part of a strong relationship filled with love and respect,” Sam wrote, accompanying his words with a drawing of a family of lions. “Fatherhood is something I have always looked forward to and I don’t take it lightly. It is the most important job I will ever do,” he added.

The American wants to avoid paparazzi stealing any pictures of her and has said it will be a tough experience. “When I was pregnant I had depression. Women didn’t talk about it then. Some people thought it was dangerous for a woman to complain about it with a baby inside her…. Thank God we no longer have to keep that pain a secret”.
