What will we see at halftime of the Super Bowl?

The LVI edition of the Super Bowl comes with a special performance by American 90s rap icons and amazing trailers.

The Super Bowl halftime show is almost as important, if not more important, than the NFL final itself. This year will be contested by the Los Angeles Rams and los Cincinnati Bengals. The broadcast is provided by NBC and the musical show is sponsored by Pepsi. This LVI edition is a tribute to American rap music of the 1990s with performances by iconic artists such as Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre.

For the first time, the Halftime Show will feature five headliners, a huge investment by Pepsi for a thirty-minute event. The spot entitled “The Call” is directed by F. Gray Gray Gray -Straight Outta Compton (2015) or The Fate of the Furious 8 (2017)-; in it, each of the stars are shown immersed in their own creative process. The crew of artists will meet for the first time on 13 February on stage at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The huge audience the Super Bowl attracts is also a big draw for the US majors, who invest a lot of money to release the first images of their upcoming films and series. After two difficult years for audiovisual culture, the return of the big premieres is very important for producers and viewers. Although this opportunity is expensive, NBC has charged up to 6.5 million dollars for 30 seconds of airtime.

The most anticipated previews are: the second trailer for “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness” which sources close to the show say will be amazing; as well as a sneak peek at the new Disney+ and Marvel series. “Moon Knight” starring Oscar Isaac premieres in March; “Ms. Marvel” will arrive in the summer and “Ms. Marvel” will arrive in the summer. Marvel” arrives in the summer and “She-Hulk” in the fall. We will also see the teaser for “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, another Star Wars spin-off that will be released on May 25 and brings back actor Ewan McGregor in the lead role. Following another Disney saga, Toy Story’s “Lightyear” is likely to be present at the Super Bowl.

Following the line of superhero movies DC is also jumping on the bandwagon and will release trailers for “Black Adam”, Robert Pattinson’s “The Batman” which will be in cinemas on 4 March and the first images from the second part of “Aquaman” and the eagerly awaited “The Flash”. Another long-awaited clip was “Jurassic World: Dominion”, but it was released on Thursday; the end of the second Jurassic Park saga will be a celebration of the films’ heritage as the original 1993 cast returns. That’s why fans are excited and looking forward to June 10.

There will also be a spot for the new film from Jordan Peele, the acclaimed director of “Let the Right One Out”, “Nope” will be available on screen on July 22nd. Another trailer that everyone wants to see is “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power”, which will arrive on September 2, 2022, on the streaming platform. Amazon Prime Video’s most expensive production in history, Middle-earth will once again host the most epic adventures of the quintessential fantasy creatures. On the other hand, HBO’s “House of Dragons” could release new exclusive footage.
