Glenn Martens has turned the Paris catwalk into a 90’s club at Y / Project SS22. With a unisex collection and the disruptive energy that characterizes the brand, has brought to light an ingenious proposal. This comes along with a new collaboration with Fila to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the Italian sports brand.
In the next season, there is no lack of movement and dynamism to which we are accustomed to Glenn Martens in its proposals. The collection features the firm’s experimental patterns: denim, leather and asymmetrical denim fabrics and silky dresses and skirts cinched at the waist occupy almost the entire collection. We also find convertible garments such as dresses adjustable through a drawstring for full or medium coverage.
Aunque la propuesta de Martens brilla por si sola, the capsule created in collaboration with Fila -coinciding with its 110th anniversary- is not far behind. Taking inspiration from the Gabber and Techno scenes of the 90s and 2000s, the collaboration unveils the result of uniting sportswear with tailoring. T-shirts, tracksuit sets and overall Fila’s signature cotton knits exist through the Y/Project prism. On all pieces, necklines are slit, twisted or flared wide open. Jogging sets appear with overlapping fabrics billowing around the chest and thighs revealing underneath the shared capsule branding.
This way, Y / Project SS22 proposal becomes one of the best of Fashion Week. The collection highlights can be found in the image gallery. As for the capsule in collaboration with FILA, it may be launched in March 2022.
