The Gucci’s Year of The Tiger

Gucci celebrates the Year of the Tiger with a jungle collection that brings together a series of archival codes.

Gucci celebrates the Year of the Tiger with a jungle collection that brings together a series of codes ranging from the exaltation of the monogram to remakes of the Japanese aesthetic and the sixties Flora print.

Zooming in on the range, a number of pieces are marked by the “Gucci Tiger” text that gives the capsule its name, as well as archival multicolored monograms, traced on flowers and watercolor illustrations of tigers.

The “GG” motif can be seen on garments such as a cardigan or a black jumper with the Gs intertwined in yellow. Also on a sports jacket with navy blue, red and white details.

Alessandro Michele once again shows his love of nature in wild prints such as the “Flora” pattern, which now adorns a sequence of moccasins, bags, wallets and watches. The collection is elevated with a vibrant turquoise tote bag, featuring the red “Gucci Tiger” logo on a tan logo-studded background.

Gucci Tiger” will go on sale on February 1 along with a series of pop-ups. In-store experiences at the high-end brand‘s Holt Renfrew Yorkdale and Holt Renfrew Vancouver shops will begin on January 14 and 17.
