Jil Sander opens the doors to a new universe through its latest campaign to showcase its Spring/Summer 2022 collection.
“The most satisfying aspect of these campaign projects is working closely with the authors and our team,” said Lucie and Luke Meier, the label’s creative directors. “Travelling, improvising, finding new dimensions in what we do. It’s important to see the things you do in the world. And we’re extremely happy about the affinity that brings Chris and us together, and the way it expands the boundaries of our vision in the work we do together.”
Chris Rhodes was commissioned to photograph the project in urban and natural spaces in Paris that reflect the identity of the collection. The sequence of images represent intimacy, honesty, trust and curiosity, while projecting the brand’s aesthetic. Incorporating the language of modern photography and experimental film, the campaign story follows a group of people looking for unexpected events to happen.
