Following Nigo’s debut show as Kenzo’s creative director and the launch of the brand’s Drop 1, the designer returns with the second Drop for the SS22 season entitled “Tiger Tail”. 

The latest limited-edition range features a cartoonish reimagining of Kenzo’s iconic tiger along with an overuse of motifs representing flora and fauna, characteristic of the label’s essence. Comprising two five-piece looks, the selection presents options for both men and women, though a genderless spirit prevails.

Timeless and essential pieces include a black XXL molleton hoodie and cotton cargo trousers with a dark green drawstring and new signature floral button. Other highlights of the collection include a black sweatshirt and black and white T-shirts printed with illustrations that mimic tiger tails on the back.

The “Tiger Tail” collection encapsulates the root of Nigo’s vision for Kenzo: “a true wardrobe for the future, linked to the wisdom of the past”. Through the expansion of motifs and the use of a uniquely Japanese sensibility, the Japanese brand’s latest capsule is a tribute to founder Kenzo Takada and his obsession with the key natural elements of his legacy.
