Our Legacy has become synonymous with deconstructed tailoring while bringing new energy to workwear. For FW23, the brand moves to Milan and presents its indie sleaze aesthetic.

Our Legacy returns to the Milan Fashion Week stage to showcase its new Autumn/Winter 2023 collection. Shot in its Milanese shop, the brand opts for a nineties aesthetic that reigned supreme in the fotolog era, the “indie sleaze”. Our Legacy also takes inspiration from children’s clothing for this collection and adapts it to the size and needs of adults.

The launch includes ribbed mohair cardigans, bomber jackets, short-sleeved cardigans (a nod to childrenswear) and blouses with retro-inspired graphics. Leather jackets, denim, pointed toe boots, skinny scarves, plaid prints and lightly distressed knitwear evoke 90s indie rock aesthetics.

Tailoring is a very relevant part of Our Legacy, and this season the brand is also giving it a grunge twist. Blazers come in XXL versions, including volumes on the shoulders. The trousers, on the other hand, stand out for being loose and presented in a crumpled way. Shirts come in different lengths and layers to maintain the indie sleaze aesthetic.

Dr. Martens collaborates with Our Legacy by reusing shoes.
