I wish you were here is the new Saint Laurent spring-summer 2021 collection. After disassociating itself from the fashionable calendar of presentations, the Parisian firm presents its latest virtual catwalk among dunes and flames.

When the pandemic shook the world, Saint Laurent was the first of the brands to announce that it was leaving Paris Fashion Week. In the midst of questioning the traditional catwalks and their frantic deadlines, the maison has decided to go its own way. With the new Spring-Summer 2021 collection, it begins its new phase and with it, takes the reins towards a future marked by new normality.

Only Anthony Vaccarello is capable of creating such a spectacular show with a single backdrop: the desert. Specifically the dunes of Maspalomas located in Gran Canaria. On this paradisiacal stage, the creative director has managed to evade reality for a moment. Through the drones, we have been able to observe how its most iconic colour, black, was the protagonist of the looks, accompanied by touches of colour and gold.

I wish you were here is the name of the firm‘s latest spring-summer collection. An invitation to escape from reality, a proposal that promotes freedom of movement. A collection full of sensual and feminine looks. Saint Laurent 2021 returns to its origins with elegant garments, with glamorous and rock touches. An ode to the YSL woman of the sixties, but updated.

Her most iconic garments were present during the show: the famous Little black dress, the black trouser suits and the women’s blazers. The designs also included knitwear, brocades, feathers and transparencies. A very complete collection that has ended with a fire that flooded the desert. Vaccarello advocates quality fashion that does not follow fleeting trends and we support you in your decision.
