For the SS21 season Hedi Slimane presented the “Dancing Kid” collection inspired by TikTok and adolescence. We were all shocked to see the staging and the correlation of looks. To be honest, what we saw did not convey the classic CELINE codes. However, there is one piece that captivated the eyes of more than one: the triangular bag, which now stands as a new indispensable silhouette of the fashion house’s archive.
CELINE menswear SS21 is based on the spirit of a rebellious teenager who skips classes to go to secret raves in the bathrooms of his high school. Thus, the looks showcase casual garments, made following wide patterns and unstructured shapes. This suggestive proposal became the focus of the media and provoked a lot of criticism —good and bad.
In our opinion, despite playing with CELINE’s heritage, it was a revelation and a tribute to the Z Generation. Well, today one of the pieces seen on the catwalk is present in all the wishlists of the season. It is the inverted triangle-shaped bag or Triangle BAG with CELINE’s maxi logo. With a compact size, it has become one of the most coveted bags in the industry.
The Triangle Bag has been launched in two different colorways: black and white, as well as brown and beige. To the latter, the signature logo has been added all over the surface. Each is completed with thin straps to hang it over the shoulders.
