From the very beginning, the Opening Ceremony homepage invites all the curious to enjoy the triple collaboration of three American heritage brands: Dickies, Timberland and OC. With an industrial aesthetics, it focuses the attention on the straight and rough structure of the pieces.
The Opening Ceremony brand has found its golden goose in group work. The founders of the New York brand, Carol Lim and Humberto Leon, recently collaborated with Vans in the Slip-On transparent PVC shoes in four colors, which was very well received.
Once again, OC joins forces with two current brands: Dickies and Timberland, to conceive a limited edition capsule collection already available in selected stores and OC’s online store that serves as a sales platform.
Opening Ceremony x Dickies x Timberland
The show finds its basics in the sets of work pants and shirts in four colors: white, grey, black and sand. Each piece is printed with the Dickies logo repeated many times in a dynamic and playful way that softens the rigidity of the garment. The lookbook plays with the strategic combination of industrial clothing.
Timberland provides the footwear. The silhouette is very similar to their iconic boot shoes, but Opening Ceremony redesigns them. With the same appearance of sturdiness and comfort include the logo Dickies is the padded part of the back area. Available in three shades: pink, sand and black.
Xiuhtezcatl Martinez and María Osuda present the capsule collection of this triple collaboration. Both work on the inclusion and diversity of indigenous and Mexican descendants through their personal work.
The prices of the articles range from 175 euros to 215 euros, while the boots can be purchased for 170 euros.
