There is a part of Birkenstock that lately, due to the rise of the “ugly shoe” trend, luxury brands are finding very attractive. One of the first to join and want to collaborate with them was Proenza Schouler, turning the models they launched together into some of the season’s must-haves. But guess who was the last one to want to design a line with the German brand? Manolo Blahnik. Yes, you read that right, the author of the famous “Manolos” so beloved by Sarah Jessica Parker and her alter ego Carrie Bradshaw has decided to join forces with B. to design a selection of shoes. Now we’ll tell you more about this incredible alliance, but we’ll just say that if Carrie saw any of the designs she’d get off her high heels without hesitation.

As we were saying, both brand and designer have decided to collaborate together and carry out their proposal, with the aim of creating unique and timeless designs of the highest quality, designed to be treasured and enjoyed. It is characterised mainly by the mastery of craftsmanship and creativity, but also by being inspired by the quality and functionality of both.

The collection perfectly reflects the values and identity of both brands, as well as reinventing the glamour of Birkenstock’s iconic models, as we can see in the images. On this occasion, the pairs created have taken a new direction, becoming true luxury pieces and even objects of desire, thanks in part to the rhinestone embellishments and premium handcrafted details that characterise the Canarian designer (a lover of Birkenstock shoes, as he himself said, for their everyday comfort) and the rich materials used, such as leather and velvet.

Do you want to know everything about the models that make up Birkenstock x Manolo Blahnik? Here we go. In this first delivery of B x MB we can find the “Arizona crystal” model available in black leather and in fuchsia and blue velvet, thought for the day to day, combining elegance and comfort and characterized for being made of leather (and anatomical cork insole covered in soft first quality leather) or velvet and with French microfiber lined trims, and the “Boston crystal” model made with the same materials and colours as the previous one, which reflects a luxurious clog design and versatile craftsmanship reimagining a classic and with similar characteristics to the previous one.

The finishing touch to this beautiful collaboration is the exclusive box and bags printed with the traditional M.B. polka dots that accompany the pieces. These shoes are not yet on sale, but we already warn you that the Birkenstock and Manolo Blahnik models will become the coolest of the season and above all the best option to wear during the Christmas season, especially the clog-shaped model made of velvet. If you were looking for a comfortable and elegant shoe, this is the perfect example.

The first part of the collection will be available from March 24th and the second part from June 2022, at 1774.com, manoloblahnik.com, all Manolo Blahnik shops and selected points of sale.
